back to it.

Well, here we go again.

Tomorrow morning is the beginning of spring semester. In my opinion, Christmas break was FAR too short. I don't know why, but it was harder than ever leaving home this morning. I seriously found myself just walking around the empty house just to spend more time at home. I had to literally tell myself to keep packing and had to force myself to get in the stinking car. The drive here was the longest its ever been, though I kept zoning out. Not zoning out as in looking off into the distance and not looking at the road, but you know when you get somewhere and don't fully remember the drive? That kind of zoning out.

Though, I admit it, now that I'm here, I am looking forward to starting the semester. I'm looking forward to not being crazy stressed out like I was last fall. Hopefully. My schedule seems easier this semester, so hopefully I'll have more time for everything.

Well, since I've gotten into the habit of only blogging once a month, I've got a lot to go over. You know the photography contest I entered a few months ago? The one I was bugging everyone about?

I got in.

I had not one, but two photos published in the 2010 Capture Memphis photography book. There were over 17000 photos entered and out of the couple hundred picked, I got two published. I'm officially a legit published photographer. When I got my copy of the book, I just stared at the pages with my photos. It was overwhelming seeing my name in print with the little copyright mark next to it. Just looking as the page, it was amazing seeing that it was my work people picked. Mom and I were at Barnes and Noble last night and they had a huge stand of them. I'm published in a book that is sold at Barnes and Noble. Thats legit. Mom took the book on top and opened it to the page with one of my photos on it so everyone could see :)

Other epicness...

I got the Mission Serve job.

I can't even express how excited I am about this job, and how ridiculously honored I am that they picked me. I'm not sure how many people applied, but there was one position open and they picked me. Me. I'm so glad that God led me to this job. I can't wait until June.

Lets see.. what else happened in December?
oh yea.

GRADES.

you know how I was freaking out about my grades? Like more than normal? yea, it was pretty bad. but hey, it all worked out.

Because who has two thumbs and a 3.68 for the semester?

this girl.

Guess who made the Dean's List?

ME.

I managed a B in both Organic and Cell Bio and I landed an A in Physics. I seriously cried when I saw my grades. I have yet to do that good at State. I mean, I don't remember doing that awesome at SBA. Anyways, I can only hope to do as good this spring.

Well, its a new year. New semester. New classes. New everything.

All right 2011.
Do your worst.
